Celebrations of Learning: 3rd, 4th, & 5th Grades Honored

Wednesday was a busy day for year-end celebrations at the Primary Center and Upper Elementary schools. Students in grades 3, 4, and 5 were honored with Celebration of Learning ceremonies. These year-end events highlighted students’ excellence across several areas.

At the Primary Center, the 3rd Grade Celebration of Learning featured class awards, sharing of memories by students, a 3rd Grade Poem by Azzaraya Stevens, and songs sung by the entire 3rd grade. It was a fitting end to the school year for students who are saying good-bye to Primary Center and hello to the Upper Elementary in the fall.

Over at the Upper Elementary, both 4th and 5th graders were honored with awards for achievements in attendance, major subject areas, and other areas of excellence. Parents were also treated to presentations by Upper Elementary staff that highlighted gains in attendance, drops in discipline referrals, and increases in MAP testing scores. Students also got to choose which “houses” they will be in next school year, as the Upper Elementary is starting a new model to strength school spirit, promote friendly competition, and support academic achievement and positive behavior. Congratulations to all of our students on a successful 2024-25 school year!
