• Tuesday, May 14, 5:30 p.m.

Communicycle Bike Giveaway
Our friends at Communicycle will also be at the Upper Elementary from 5 - 7 p.m. to hand out bicycles to local families. People who would like a bicycle can register at communicycle.org.

Sto-Rox School District is proud to be part of Remake Learning Days 2024! The district will host a Title I Event on Wednesday, May 15 at Sto-Rox Upper Elementary from 5 - 7:30 p.m. The district has partnered with STEM Coding Lab to provide robotics-related activities for children in grades K-8. Children and families will be able to learn about computer science from Google employees and engage in digital literacy activities. We hope you can join us! Highmark Farmers Market
Highmark Wholecare will host a free farmers market event at the Upper Elementary from 5 - 7 p.m. Thousands of pounds of fruits and vegetables will be available, and the food is first-come, first-serve. Highmark is working with the district and Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank to secure and distribute the food, and we thank them for their efforts! A second free farmers market will take place on Tuesday, May 21 from 12:30 - 3 p.m. at the Jr./Sr. High School. All members of the community are welcome at both events.

Sto-Rox seniors from all sports, cheerleading, and band will be honored during a banquet scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28 at the McKees Rocks VFW, 1242 Chartiers Ave, McKees Rocks, PA 15136. Athletes, coaches, and children under the age of 12 are free. Tickets for parents and other guests are $20 each. Join us on Friday, May 31 as we honor the Sto-Rox Class of 2024! Check out the events leading up to the graduation ceremony on Friday evening.

Senior Breakfast – May 31 at 8:00 AM – meet in the cafeteria for a catered final class breakfast.
Graduation Practice – May 31 at 9:00 AM – meet in the cafeteria, attendance mandatory.
Graduation Ceremony – May 31 at 7:00 P.M. on the High School Football Field, students must arrive at 6:15 p.m. in the cafeteria.  Not on time, not in procession!  Please dress properly; it’s your formal graduation.  In the event of poor weather, graduation will be held in the gymnasium. Each student will receive 4 tickets at practice for indoor seating, extra tickets are not available. No student may walk in the graduation ceremony without completing all graduation requirements and fulfilling any outstanding debts owed to the district (lunch, athletics, library, clubs, etc.). A day of fun for Sto-Rox students and their families will be here before you know it! Sto-Rox Day at Kennywood is set for Thursday, June 13. Tickets are only available online, and the district will not be providing transportation. A couple of notes:

• Families can visit Kennywood on June 13 for $35.99
• Families can visit on any other date through July 14 for $37.99.
• To get tickets, go to kennywood.com/schools and then follow the instructions on the flyer that you can download here (PDF).

NOTE: Kennywood will be offering return tickets back if rains. Guests must be present at the park on your district day to receive the return ticket.
