Shomari Phelps is the Sto-Rox School District’s new Athletic Director, stepping into the role following his hiring as a substitute teacher. A Sarasota, Florida native, Phelps has been involved in youth and college sports for more than a decade, most recently working at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.

Athletic Trainers are in your school to provide:
• Assessment, diagnosis, and rehabilitation for musculoskeletal injuries sustained by athletes.
• First aid, treatment, and proper referrals when appropriate.
• Management of emergency situations, which may arise during athletic practices and events.
• Coordination of care with Primary Care Physicians and Orthopedic Physicians
