Dear Parents/Guardians and Students,
This evening, an odor was detected in the athletic and music wing of Sto-Rox Jr./Sr. High School. No gas was detected by Columbia Gas during their inspection of the building. However, in order to ensure the well-being of our Jr./Sr. High School students and staff, we have decided to conduct virtual learning for students in grades 7-12 tomorrow (Friday), January 5, 2024.
Here are some important details regarding our virtual learning day:
Virtual Learning Platform: Classes will be conducted through Google Meet. Links for each Google Meet will be posted in each teacher's Google Classroom.
Schedule: Students will follow their regular school schedule. Teachers will provide instruction for each class virtually using Google Meet. Students are expected to follow their class schedule and log on to each class.
Communication: Teachers will be available during regular school hours to address any questions or concerns. Students are encouraged to reach out for support, just as they would in a physical classroom.
Attendance: Attendance will be taken during virtual classes, just as it would in a physical classroom. It is important that students actively participate to ensure continuity in their education. We understand that this unexpected change may present challenges, and we appreciate your cooperation and understanding. The health and safety of our students remains our utmost priority.
