Sto-Rox students recently got a chance to explore careers in nursing with the help of the University of Pittsburgh. Adrian Bermudez, BSN, RN - co-founder of ‘Pitt’s Men in Nursing Club’ and secretary of the Graduate Nursing Student Organization, visited Sto-Rox Jr./Sr. High School with his team on October 6 to visit with 9th-12th graders. Bermudez and his colleagues presented information about nursing careers and answered questions from students. After that, students got to practice various nursing skills and seniors got to speak with an admissions counselor. A special thanks to Adrian and his team, who said they enjoyed interacting with our students and look forward to returning. Check out photos below!
This visit is part of a series of career exploration events taking place at Sto-Rox Jr./Sr. High School this Fall. Upcoming events including a visit by representatives of Penn State Beaver, a field trip to the Builders Guild of Western Pennsylvania and a visit by Point Park University’s school of communications.
