Having A Blast At The Back-To-School Celebration

The Sto-Rox Community enjoyed football, food and fun on Saturday at Sto-Rox Junior/Senior High School. The Vikings Football Team squared off against Quaker Valley in their first scrimmage of the season, while the Sto-Rox Band entertained the crowd, and more than a dozen community organizations met with Sto-Rox students, their families, and alumni.

  • The District received a donation from the McKees Rocks Community Development Corporation. We thank them for their generosity and continued support!

  • Superintendent Megan Van Fossan doubled as an athletic trainer for the Vikings, taping up players and making sure they stay fit. She’s no stranger to the role, it’s just one part of her impressive resume!

  • Jr./Sr. High School Principal Kim Price also did double duty, playing a few tunes on the trombone with the Sto-Rox Band.

Check out the galleries below for more photos and video from Saturday. Thanks to those who showed up, and we hope to see more of you as the school gets underway on Wednesday, August 24th.
