Sto-Rox School District is preparing to celebrate Homecoming this weekend with a parade, a football game, and a dance in continuation of this annual tradition. Sto-Rox Student Council is sponsoring Sto-Rox Homecoming 2024: The Masquerade.
Friday, September 27
At 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Homecoming Parade participants will meet at Sanvito Funeral Home, 1650 Broadway Ave, McKees Rocks, PA 15136. At the same time, the gates will open at Sto-Rox Jr./Sr. High School Stadium for the Sto-Rox vs. Charleroi football game.
At 6 p.m., the parade will start and proceed down Broadway, onto Valley Street, and then onto Russellwood Ave. to the stadium entrance. Students will be announced as they enter the stadium in their vehicles. This all leads up to kickoff of Sto-Rox vs. Charleroi at 7 p.m.; the crowning ceremony will take place at halftime. Saturday, September 28
The Homecoming formal dance will be held Saturday from 7 - 10 p.m. at Rockefeller’s Grille.
Fan Information For Home Football Games
• Gate ticket sales are cash only.
• General Admission tickets are $5 apiece.
• The entrance gate for this season is located in the parking lot at Dale and Rosamond Streets. We hope to reduce bottlenecks and move people through that security checkpoint faster (see below). If you are driving to the game, please park in that parking lot.
• All buses will park in the lot at Dale and Rosamond Streets.
• Clear bags only, please (The exceptions to this rule are small, hand size clutch purses, or strapless bags with a maximum size of 4.5” x 6.5.”).
• Everyone is required to go through metal detectors and undergo a bag search: Security guards will work quickly but carefully to search everyone and their bags, strollers, wheelchairs, and other accessories. Again, there will be no re-entry. If you leave the stadium, you cannot come back in.
• No Alcohol, weapons, or tobacco, vapes, lighters, or related items.
• No Outside Food or Drink, please.
