The last day of school for Sto-Rox School District students ended with lots of fun and a surprise or two. At the Upper Elementary, students in one departing school bus sprayed silly string as they left campus. There were smilies all around - lots of hugs - and a few tears as teachers and students said ‘so long’ for the final time. It was the same story at the Primary Center, where Sto-Rox’s youngest students departed for summer with their teachers leading the way.
Life Skills students at Sto-Rox Jr./Sr. High School had breakfast today at Lynn's Cafe and Quality Catering, putting to use the menu reading and functional math skills they learned this year. The students were going to use money raised through the Friday morning coffee cart - but - Stan, a Lynn's Cafe patron, admired the students so much he paid their tab! Thanks to Stan - and Lynn's Cafe - for a memorable last day.
