Make A Dent (By Fixing One) At Parkway West CTC

Whether you’re repairing a ding or replacing a fender, the skills needed for repairing the surfaces of cars and trucks are highly technical. Those skills can be taught and transferred to students here in Sto-Rox thanks to a partnership with Parkway West Career & Technology Center.

Auto Body Repair is one of 16 areas of study at Parkway West CTC. The school started in the 1960’s as an outgrowth of machine shop classes. Today, Sto-Rox is one of 12 school districts that sends students to this vocational training center.

The auto body program is nationally-certified and features more than a dozen certifications. That means students are checking the boxes they need to get a job right after they get their degree. There is no shortage of jobs to choose from, either - from welding and painting, to becoming an insurance adjuster - if students take this path, they have plenty of options.
