As the Sto-Rox School District community heads through the winter months, it is more important than ever to make sure the district has updated contact information from parents and guardians. That way, we can reach you in an urgent situation. If any of your contact information has changed, please click this link and fill out our Google Form.
Please provide your email, name and at least one phone number, along with your child’s name and grade. You can also provide an additional adult and their phone number if you are unable to be reached. This information is used to update our directory for phone communications, district emails and other communication purposes.
Our administrative team works hard behind the scenes to evaluate weather conditions, road conditions, and other factors to make decisions in the best interest of students, staff and their families. Here is a quick refresher on how we communicate with you when there is an event with district-wide impacts, like winter weather:
• Phone: We will send a voice message via phone to communicate delays or closings. That’s one of the main reasons why it’s so important to have updated phone numbers.
• Email: We will send parents an email with details on what’s happening and impacts for your child and/or their building(s). Please make sure your email is current and that you’re checking it regularly.
• Website: Updates will be posted on the News section of the Sto-Rox School District website and the home page. Please bookmark it!
• Social Media: Posts will be made on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter/X that lead straight back to our website. If you have a question, let us know in the comments - just keep it clean and respectful.
• TV: We also communicate weather delays and closings with KDKA-TV (Ch. 2/CBS), WTAE (Ch. 4/ABC), and WPXI (Ch. 11), so please also watch them for updates.
