Photos: Parent/Guardian Appreciation Night

Sto-Rox School District’s inaugural Parent/Guardian Appreciation Night was a smashing - and spooky - success! This first-of-its-kind event was held by the district in partnership with MHY Family Services and was planned in collaboration with Focus On Renewal. Parents went to the Jr./Sr. High School cafeteria and received handmade cards from their students, ate delicious food from Sto-Rox Food Services, and took part various activities including crafting, gardening, a caricature artist, and message therapy, while children were treated to activities over in the gym.

There was also a farmers market provided by Highmark Wholecare that served more than 125 families, distributing more than 3,200 lbs. of fruits and vegetables. Several community providers also took part, along with district staff, students, and school board members. The district would like to thank everyone who volunteered their time and effort to salute our parents, guaridans, and caregivers. Check out photos of the event below and a video of students and staff talking about the adults in their lives, and why they are so important.
