Sto-Rox Athletics legend Bill Palermo has notched another honor: He’ll be inducted into the WPIAL Hall of Fame. Palermo is part of a 2023 class that features star athletes, teams and coaches. Palermo is the winningest softball coach in WPIAL history, never posting a losing season. He helped lead the Sto-Rox Softball Team to a state championship in 1989, not to mention 10 WPIAL championships. Palermo also coached girls basketball during his time in Sto-Rox. We salute Coach Palermo for this latest accomplishment, and we can’t wait until he’s inducted into the WPIAL Hall of Fame on Friday, June 2.
