The term ‘living legend’ is tossed around a lot. However, it applies perfectly to one of the newest inductees into the WPIAL Hall of Fame. Bill Palermo was given that honor Friday night. Palermo led the Sto-Rox softball to 589 wins, 27 section titles, 10 WPIAL titles and the 1989 PIAA Championship (AA). While the numbers are impressive, they pale in comparison to the legacy he left behind as a coach and teacher. We congratulate Coach Palermo on his WPIAL Hall of Fame induction!
