One after another, plates of whipped cream were smushed into the faces of Sto-Rox teachers, administrators and a security guard. The students who did the smushing were not punished. On the contrary, they were being awarded for good behavior.
Sto-Rox Primary Center on Monday celebrated classroom champions of its PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) program. This initiative incentivizes and celebrates positive behaviors by students both inside and outside the classroom. On Monday, top students from each grade level got a chance to toss a pie in the face of K-6 Principal Heather Johnston, Primary Center Assistant Principal Colleen Frankel, several teachers and a security guard.
