Sto-Rox students recently got a taste of careers in hi-tech manufacturing in their own backyard. A group from Sto-Rox went to Manufacturing Day 2022 at Mill 19 in Pittsburgh’s Hazelwood neighborhood. Students met with people who specialize in advanced manufacturing, from welding and robotics to computer programming.

The event was sponsored by CatalystConnection in partnership with Advanced Robotics for Manufacturing Institute (ARM) and Carnegie Mellon University's Manufacturing Futures Institute.

Special thanks to Scott Dietz, Director of Catalyst Connection and Nathan Broadus, Workforce Specialist and our group leader of Catalyst Connection for their invitation and coordintation. And stay tuned - there may be more opportunities with Catalyst Connection and their partners to bring more manufacturing educational experiences to Sto-Rox!
