Year-end student celebrations continued on Wednesday with events for 2nd and 6th grades. The graduating 6th graders - the class of 2029 - were the stars of a ceremony in the Upper Elementary gym. Their ceremony included performance by the graduates (Green Day’s ‘Time of Your Life’) and the SRUE Chorus (‘When It’s Time To Say Good-Bye’) along with remarks by K-6 Principal Heather Johnston and Jr./Sr. High School Principal Raelyn Day, who will welcome the 6th graders as 7th graders next year. The students were honored with various awards including honor roll, subject matter excellence and attendance. Both Amorah Slade and Jordyn Kerney delivered addresses reflecting on the 6th graders’ journey.
Earlier in the day in the Primary Center cafeteria, an end-of-year ceremony was held for Sto-Rox’s second grade classes. Students also received various awards saluting their excellence, such as the Skittles award for ‘always being full of colorful ideas.’ Check out the photos from both events below, and congrats to all of our student on reaching the end of the 2022-2023 school year!
