The halls of Sto-Rox have echoed in recent weeks with the sounds of thunder, heartbreak, and a few divine schemes. 7th graders who are studying world history under Kevin Woods stepped into the roles of Greek gods and goddesses with the help of Bricolage. The Pittsburgh-based production company is a staple of the city’s arts scene, pushing the boundaries of theatre with immersive productions and educational experiences.
Over the last 10 weeks, Bricolage has conducted a residency with Sto-Rox 7th graders, immersing them in stories of mystery, romance, and comedy.
“Students honed their 21st-century skills in storytelling, collaboration, and creativity, all while bringing the drama of Mount Olympus to life,” said Woods. “With a mix of acting and sound artistry, they created a production worthy of the gods themselves.”
The district congratulates our students for their hard work and imagination, and wishes a heartfelt thank you to Bricolage for their continued partnership with Sto-Rox.
