ORIGINAL POST, 2/26/25 - 6:22 p.m.: Sto-Rox’s youngest students celebrated Black History Month on Wednesday, as the Kindergarten and 1st grade classes took center stage at the Primary Center. Music teacher Bill McClintock conducted choral performances from both grades, while our third grade Viking leaders dropped by to perform a few dance numbers!

Parents got to enjoy the performances - and bingo - and everyone got to hear from guest speaker Daniel Johnson from The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust. Additionally, Kindergarteners and 1st graders who had perfect attendance through the first two quarters were honored and won gift cards. The celebrations continue tomorrow with the 2nd and 3rd graders at 9:30 a.m. in the Primary Center cafeteria.
