Dear Sto-Rox Community,
We are aware of the senseless violence that has taken place in our community this afternoon. While this did not happen on school grounds, we are very concerned. We are taking steps to ensure our students and staff are safe and cared for at this time. The Sto-Rox School District is in contact with our safety and security partners, including our security team and local police.
We also want the community to know that there are resources available in times like these. We will have counselors on hand to support our students tomorrow and Friday. You may reach out to our counseling staff at each school for information about accessing resources you need.
We want our neighbors to know they have somewhere to turn, so please reach out with concerns or questions. We are keeping the victims in our thoughts and hoping for their physical and mental recovery.
