A wonderful family fun night was held Wednesday at Sto-Rox Primary Center. The Dr. Seuss Family Night - a Title I Event - featured lots of games and activities for Sto-Rox students and their families. The Food Services Department provided Dr. Seuss-themed treats including Rice Krispies treats with tiny Grinch hearts. Games included a fishing pond (One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish) and a Make-Your-Own-Oobleck (Bartholomew and the Oobleck). Several high school students volunteered at the event, with some of them painting children’s faces.
Additionally, the Sto-Rox PTO held a Scholastic Book Fair, and students picked up backpacks donated by the Kids in Need Foundation. The Sto-Rox Neighborhood Health Council, Positive Parenting and Communities In Schools also provided health supplies, information and books/Kindergarten readiness materials respectively. Plus, Sto-Rox School District officials were there to help register students for Kindergarten. Check out the photos below:
