The Sto-Rox Varsity Girls Basketball team wrapped up its home schedule on Monday night with a game against Riverside at the Sto-Rox Jr./Sr. High School gym. While the Vikings couldn’t pull off a win, they did play host to the “Little Dribblers,” girls from grades 4-6 who are competing in the basketball program at Sto-Rox Upper Elementary. The girls took part in the pre-game and half-time shoot arounds, and stood with the Varsity team for player introductions, showing off the next generation of Sto-Rox Basketball talent.

There was also a moment of special recognition for the Riverside seniors before the game; Sto-Rox Coach Jeff Stuart gave roses to each of Riverside’s four seniors. The Vikings Varsity team wraps up its season on the road at 6:30 p.m. this Thursday against Beaver. The SRUE Basketball program continues throughout February with several home games leading up to the season finale against Cornell on Wednesday, February 19 at the SRUE gym starting at 6 p.m. Check out the Sto-Rox Athletics webpage for more information.
