ORIGINAL POST, 11:44 a.m.:
Dear Sto-Rox Community,
Out of an abundance of caution, Sto-Rox School District is dismissing all students early today (Tuesday, September 19). Late this morning, we - along with multiple school districts in the region - received an anonymous bomb threat. We immediately contacted law enforcement and evacuated each of our schools. While we believe this threat is not legitimate, we are taking it seriously.
Transportation is currently being arranged for students who require it. There will be no after school activities. We are communicating this information with parents via phone, email and through our social media platforms. We will send any further updates on this situation as they come in.
We appreciate your understanding during what can be a difficult situation for students, parents and staff.
Sincerely,
Megan Marie Van Fossan, M.A. M.Ed.
Superintendent of Schools
