Our partners at Steel City Impact are taking applications right now for their after-school program that starts in Sto-Rox on Monday, October 9. The program is for 7th through 10th grade students and it runs every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday after school from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. Transportation home will be provided.
Sto-Rox School District will provide tutoring as part of the program. Organizers will work with district and community partners to provide activities, workshops, and guest speakers. Additionally, students will have the chance to earn field trips and the program will feature community service days, family events, and recreational activities.
One of Steel City Impact’s goals is focusing students on getting to the B.A.G., which is an acronym that stands for Behavior, Attendance, and Grades. It’s part of the group’s mission to impact the live of every child involved in its program, giving them the ability to succeed now, and in the future.
