The Sto-Rox Football Program is on full display this week with the first game for the new Middle School Team and the home opener for the Varsity Football Team. Check out key information about Friday’s game including security and parking information. Plus, learn how our newest football team scored a huge win in its first game!
Home Opener
The Vikings will take on Avonworth on Friday, September 8 at 7:00 p.m. at the Sto-Rox Jr./Sr. High School Stadium. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. and there will be no re-entry. Please read through all of the following points to make sure you have an enjoyable experience:
Gate ticket sales are cash only. General Admission tickets are $5.00 apiece. Tickets will be sold on the parking lot side of the stadium.
The entrance gate for this season is different. It is located in the parking lot at Dale and Rosamond Streets. We hope to reduce bottlenecks and move people through the security checkpoint faster (see below).
If you are driving to the game, please park in that parking lot (that’s the freshly paved, newly lit lot).
All buses will park in the lot at Dale and Rosamond Streets.
Clear Bags Only (The exception to this rule are small, hand size clutch purchase, or strapless bags with a maximum size of 4.5” x 6.5.”
Everyone is required to go through metal detectors and bag search: Security guards will work quickly but carefully-to search everyone and their bags, strollers, wheelchairs and other accessories. Again, there will be no re-entry. If you leave the stadium, you cannot come back in.
No Alcohol, weapons, or tobacco, vapes, lighters, or related items.
No Outside Food or Drink, please.
Middle School Success
The new Middle School Football Team set the bar high in its first game. The Vikings beat South Park by a score of 50-0! The team led by Head Coach Trevaun Hairston put up three straight scores in the first quarter and coasted to a victory. It was a smashing success for a team meant to generate talent for future Sto-Rox football teams. The Middle Schoolers’ next game is next Wednesday, September 13 at home vs. Rochester.
