The wait is over.
Sto-Rox School District is hiring a head coach and an assistant coach as part of its efforts to restart the high school softball program. While the hirings will not be made official until the next school board meeting on Thursday, June 22, the district wanted to alert students, parents and alumni as soon as possible. Softball has a long and proud history in Sto-Rox, including a 1989 PIAA Championship. Much of the program’s success over the years was due to coach Bill Palermo, who will be inducted into the WPIAL Hall of Fame on Friday, June 2.
