A student assistance initiative by the Sto-Rox School District and two of its partner agencies was examined Sunday on the KDKA-TV program “Intersections.” SRSD Social District Worker Alex Gariepy and Implementation Specialist Sydney Dominick were invited to speak with “Intersections” host Lisa Smith about the Vikings Den resource room. The room provides tangible resources for students at Sto-Rox Jr./Sr. High School, including shoes, clothes, feminine products and baby products. The Vikings Den had been in works for months, as Gariepy, of MHY Services and Dominick, of Communities in Schools worked to make it a reality.
