The Sto-Rox School District’s Middle School Football team has completed its second season - and once again - the team has gone undefeated. The Vikings faced off against Rochester on Wednesday night and beat the Rams by a score of 42-0. Sto-Rox outscored its opponents 308-18, but for first-year head coach Lauren Ferragonio, on-field performance is only part of the team’s recipe for success.
“The biggest wins didn’t happen during the game. It’s how much I’ve watched these young men grow as people,” said Ferragonio in a post on Instagram. “I had ZERO Sto kids ineligible for a game. I watched them grow into leaders, checking each other and keeping each other on track when one needed a reminder.”

Ferragonio is excited for the future of this team and her student-athletes as continue to improve on and off the field.
“My goal is that each of them leave better than before they came to me,” she said, “and I’m hoping I accomplished that goal! Loved this group so much and can’t wait to see them continue to grow into the fine young men I know they are.”
The district congratulates the coaches and staff of the Sto-Rox Middle School Football Team on their success. Way to go, Vikings!
