Call them the ‘Super Seven.’
Seven seniors who starred on the Sto-Rox Vikings Football Team signed their collegiate letters of intent on Wednesday during a Signing Day Ceremony at the Sto-Rox Jr./Sr. High School Auditorium.
“I love every single one of you guys. I wish you nothing but the best. It’s a blessing even being up on the stage, to introduce you guys,” said Interim Athletic Director Josh Kemp, who was the Vikings Defensive Backs Coach last season. “I’m excited to see what you all bring to the table moving forward.”
Kemp was joined by Head Football Coach Marvin Mills, who praised the players for their hard work and dedication after taking over last season from LaRoi Johnson.
“You had to persevere through Covid, and tragedy, and difficulties that none of us will ever understand or experience,” said Superintendent Megan Van Fossan. “We wish you success but remember how you perseved getting here today. That same heart and energy and passion is what’s going to tkae you through the next four years.
Each player introduced themselves, said words of thanks, and announced their university of choice. The entire list is below, and covers six schools across four states. The entire video of Wednesday’s Signing Day Ceremony is on the Sto-Rox School District YouTube page, and is also shown here.
