Lee Davis prides himself on his empathy. Davis, the founder of Lee Davis & Associates Consulting, grew up in Braddock and went to Woodland Hills, seeing and experiencing violence around him regularly. Those experiences shaped the man he is today, a man who looks for solutions when he sees violence happening in communities in Pittsburgh. UPDATE: District Statement on Community Violence

We are aware of the violence against law enforcement that took place throughout our community this afternoon. While this violence did not happen on school grounds, we did lock down the school based on the advice of law enforcement. We have communicated with police throughout the evening, and at this time, classes will take place as scheduled on Tuesday, February 28.

Request For Proposals: Therapeutic Services

Sto-Rox School District has an overarching goal to ensure the provision of therapeutic support for children who exhibit a need for these services. The extraordinary circumstances caused by COVID-19 pandemic have left our schools in dire need of creative mental health support. This work is expected to begin in August 2023 through September 2024.

Sto-Rox Staff Undergo Trauma Training

The Sto-Rox staff is always growing and learning as it finds the best ways to reach its students. On Friday February 17 - an in-service day for the distict - Sto-Rox staff underwent Trauma 101 and 102 training. Joe Brecht, from the Community Care Behavioral Health Organization, put on the training.
